BIM Strategy is proud to be the product of a highly-successful collaboration between Niven Architects and Teesside University, but we’ve come a long way from our roots. In 2016 we built a new team, moved to a new open plan studio with our Niven colleagues, and redefined our services under the leadership of John Adams, one of the region’s best-known BIM specialists. It certainly was a big year.
Since then, BIM Strategy has grown into an indispensable partner for businesses across the construction industry, with a special focus on clients, contractors and manufacturers. We believe this is all down to our blend of using the latest processes and technologies to offer pragmatic advice in a plain language approach. Our honest and straightforward approach has seen us featured in leading magazines BIM+, Construction Manager, and ADF.
BIM Strategy has been supporting businesses in the UK and beyond to implement and adopt BIM since 2013. Whether you are at the start of your journey, or you need a trusted partner to help realise your identified BIM goals, get in touch and we’ll do everything we can to help you succeed.
Choosing the right Information Manager is a key task on any project with BIM ambitions. BIM Level 2 describes a structured approach to delivering better outcomes through the adoption of technology and processes. The ability to deliver greatly improved information about buildings from inception to beyond completion relies on the Information Manager.
As a studio we have clocked up well over 30 years of collective experience of creating data rich building information models and the BIM objects that come together to form them. Whether you’re a design team who needs expert assistance or a manufacturer who wants to provide intelligent BIM content to designer and specifiers, BIM Strategy can help.
Beyond our innovative construction industry work, we are also a leading voice in the Tees Valley digital scene and work closely with both Teesside and Northumbria universities. We do this because we hold a firm belief that our industry needs to have our voice heard in the digital landscape. We still like to see ourselves as a digital startup: this ethos keeps us agile and focused on the challenges ahead.
If you want to know more, why not get in touch and see how we could give your business the advantage with BIM.
We nurture a positive office culture in our open plan design studio. We get together regularly to discuss team goals, aspirations and new ideas to improve our office and work environment.
Outside the office our team often spend time together socialising over food and drink or being more active cycling and running. Every year we select two local charity too raise fund for, this can be running quizzes, bake sales or completing challenging events.
Being actively involved with our local community is important to us. Two of our team share their expertise by serving on the Tees Valley Digital Strategy Board and the Combined Authority Mayor’s SME Advisory Board. We also work together with local schools, colleges and universities to provide lectures, work experience opportunities and placements
